The active part of the Mössbauer source is prepared by electrodepositing high-purity carrier-free ⁵⁷Co onto a thin metal backing (matrix) followed by a controlled annealing process. The standard matrix is rhodium. All sources are carefully tested on certified equipment. Each source is supported by a test report with measured values of Mössbauer spectra parameters.
We currently offer sources with the following standard options and/or specifications:
- Activity of 5-100 mCi
- Capsule types 1, 2, 6, 9 or 10
- Thread types M4 or #10-32 UNF
- Recoilless fraction: 0.75
- 14.41 keV photon emission efficiency: ≥75%
